ZUMA Launches New Home for Reportage

Image San Clemente, CA - February 4, 2004 - ZUMA Press, one of the world's leading providers of editorial photography, is proud to announce the launch of zReportage.com. This elite service is dedicated to the presentation and licensing of complete bodies of work by today's leading photojournalists.

"More and more media outlets are piecing together images from different sources. The end result is a completely different story or marginalized version of the original photographers vision," says Scott Mc Kiernan, director and founder of ZUMA Press. "By presenting and licensing work in its entirety, we provide comprehensive, in-depth reporting and vision by one photographer. After all, it's about their work," he says.

Features on zReportage are selected from submissions to ZUMA Press and chosen for photographic excellence. Each story will be licensed as a package to push editors to run the whole story. "Package licensing is a groundbreaking, daring concept, but the work deserves no less than this level of commitment and respect," says Mc Kiernan.

Reportage Tuesday is born. Every Tuesday, visit zReportage.com for our latest award-winning story.

"I am proud to bring together some of the hottest talent in photojournalism and present unseen and underreported stories that need to be told. We will only forgo releasing a story on zReportage on Tuesday if none are worthy," says Mc Kiernan. "I believe in this venture and the killer content we represent. Its success is guaranteed."

For information on licensing zReportage content, email Sales@zReportage.com or contact Warren Winter, ZUMA's syndication manager, at 949.494.7704.

ZUMA Press Picture of the Week

By far the hottest story of the week was JANET JACKSON's choice of jewelry at the NFL Super Bowl XXXVIII half-time concert. Pop star Justin Timberlake tore off part of Jackson's jacket, exposing her right breast, which was adorned with a metallic pasty shaped like an elaborate sun.

Wonder if the FCC would also object to ROB SCHNEIDER's Jackson-style nipple flash at the premiere of 50 First Dates?

Kudos to photographers PATRICK SCHNEIDER of the Charlotte Observer and GLENN WEINER for these cool shots!
