Greatest Movie Picture Show on the Web |
 |
August 4, 2004 - San Clemente, CA - Today ZUMA Press announced an exclusive partnership with Album, the
Barcelona-based picture library that specializes in cinematic imagery (film stills, studio portraits, making-of takes and movie posters).
ZUMA now represents Album's content, dating back to 1895, exclusively in the United States and Canada. The added imagery makes
ZUMA an invaluable resource for picture researchers, photo editors and publishers alike, whether their needs are current or
historic.
ZUMA has dedicated significant resources over the past few months to integrate over 50,000 of Album's movie stills into
ZUMA's 100,000+ cinematic archive. Another 50,000 will be added in the weeks ahead.
"When photo editors are on tight deadlines, they often don't have time to track down production studios to get hold of the stills they need," says Camilla Zenz,
ZUMA's research manager. "At ZUMApress.com, clients can easily search
by the name of the film, actor or production company. If they're really pressed for time, clients email me and I'll be happy to help find what they're looking for,"
she says.
ZUMA's digital, online movie-stills collection easily outnumbers any other available in the world. The content rounds out
ZUMA's timely entertainment coverage and celebrity candids, making ZUMA a one-stop shop for
everything available on a particular actor or film.
Three Easy Ways to Get the Movie Still You Need
1. Log on to ZUMApress.com. Click on the ZUMA Movie Stills Collection
banner. This will take you to a page where you can search by movie name, actor or production company.
2. Log on to ZUMApress.com. In the pull-down menu under the find photos box, select the option
"movie still." Type either the actor or name of the movie you are searching for, and voila!
3. Email Requests@ZUMApress.com for hard-to-find stars and material not yet available online. New images are
added daily.

An Elephant in the Backyard (2004, Dutton Children's Books) is a playful tale set in Tha Klang, Thailand, where Asian elephants roam free and are

Black Farmers: Where's Our Money?
Thousands of black farmers expected to benefit from the landmark 1999 class-action settlement with the United States Department of Agriculture which acknowledged
decades of "indifference and blatant discrimination" against blacks in the department's lending programs. Hailed as the biggest civil-rights award in U.S. history,
the presiding judge estimated that $2 billion would be paid out to black farmers. However, since the judgment, thousands of claims have been denied for a tangle
of reasons, including tight deadlines, late submissions, lawyers' bungling and, perhaps most significantly, the resistance of the Agriculture Department, which
critics say has used technicalities to deny farmers a hard-won remedy. For those rejected, the only hope for restitution is an act of Congress. Click

Children Work to Feed the Hungry
In Detroit, Michigan children from the Indian Village Child Care Center harvest various herbs in the Capuchin Soup Kitchen's organic garden. Produce from the garden
goes to low-income residents and is used in the soup kitchen's programs. The Capuchin program aims to teach children about gardening, giving back to the community
and helping to feed the hungry. To view more, click
