Alan Greth, Editor for medianewswireservice.com, commented on his long relationship with ZUMA... “Covering San Francisco's East Bay for Contra Costa Times has proven to be very exciting place over the past few years. Our staff photographers have been in the middle of some very high profile news and sporting events, not only in the bay area but around the world. We witnessed Barry Bonds famous 715th home run, the Scott Peterson murder trial, and the bizarre murder case involving the wife of attorney Daniel Horowitz.

"Through all of these news stories we have partnered with ZUMA Press to syndicate our images worldwide. Our Pictures have been published by media outlets around the world which has allowed our photo staff to gain international reach.

“Additionally, we have partnered with ZUMA's technology division to create our own online database which is accessible to all MediaNews papers and online divisions throughout the United States. This technology has changed the way we do business at some our newspapers and gives us a wide-ranging choice of content for our publications.

Gearing Up for The Palm Springs Photo Festival

March 08, 2007 - "I conceived of this festival as an event for photographers to gather, network and enjoy each other's company," mused Jeff Dunas, festival director. "It's about taking five days and rekindling the passion that led us all to photography in the first place.

Connect 07, from May 6-11th, offers the opportunity to meet top photographers, curators, art directors, educators and industry leaders in the spectacular desert environment of Palm Springs. Among the expected attendees are: Anthony Bannon, Steven Cohen, Henry Diltz, Michelle Dunn, David Fahey, Eikoh Hosoe, Dennis Keeley, David Hume Kennerly, Robert Glenn Ketchum, Antonin Kratochvil, Robert Maxwell, Juergen Nogai, David Schonauer, Jock Sturges, Veronique Vial... and many others!

ZUMA Press Founder Scott Mc Kiernan can't wait for it all to begin. "Palm Springs 2006 was a great gathering. The slide shows at night under the stars in the desert were very rich. I loved the Henry Ditz and Jim Marshall rock 'n' roll picture duel...super inspiring and enriching to the visual soul. PSPF 2007 promises to take if even further. Jeff Dunas has grown it to a mature, full event. This is a must-go happening for every photographer. ZUMA and DOUBLEtruck Magazine are excited to be a part of this fine gathering. Proud to run the photojournalism panel and collaborate on others. Look forward to making some new friends and attending the panels hosted by photography's living legends. The place to be May 6-11 is the Palm Spring Photo Festival!"
