Winner's All Around

A WORLD OF WINNERS

April 12, 2007 - ZUMA Press hits a grand slam for the 2007 award season! The first score was a repeat ZUMA photographer win for Daniel Beltra for his heart stopping environmental images on the Amazon, at the prestigious WORLD PRESS AWARDS in Amsterdam. Then we garnered a POYi first place win for "Best Photography Book Award" for ZUMA Press Book's Testify by Colin Finlay. Plus, numerous ZUMA partner newspapers collected a ton of awards, too. Third with a bullet was the National Press Photographers Association's Best of Photojournalism 2007 nod to DOUBLEtruck Magazine in the Best Use of Photography for Magazines, beating out perennial winner National Geographic.

Just in today...Rounding out the grand slam was a major win in Canada's Applied Arts 2007, as 10 ZUMA photographers won in the Applied Arts Magazine 2007 Photography/Illustration Annual, dominating the photojournalism category.
