RICHARD CHAMBERLAIN (March 31, 1934 – March 29, 2025) was an American actor and singer who became a teen idol in the title role of the television show 'Dr. Kildare' (1961–1966). He subsequently earned the title ''King of the Mini-Series'' for his work in several TV miniseries such as 'Centennial' (1978), 'Shogun' (1980), and 'The Thorn Birds' (1983). Chamberlain also performed classical stage roles and worked in musical theater. He died late on Saturday night in Waimanalo, Hawaii, after suffering complications from a stroke.
