Who's Shooting What

DAVID GROSS - Identifying the Dead

DAVID GROSS continues his forensic photography and reporting in Thailand, focusing on the efforts at Yan Yao temple--a roadside Buddhist sanctuary that's become southern Thailand's principal morgue for tsunami victims. Led by Dr Porntip Rojanasunan, a local celebrity scientist who does not tolerate errors or omissions, 300 forensic anthropologists, pathologists and scientists from 30 countries work around the clock to document and identify thousands of cadavers.

DANIEL BELTRA - What's left of the Maldives

Just days after the tsunami hit south Asia, environmental news photojournalist DANIEL BELTRA arrived in the Maldives. As one of the first journalists on the scene, Beltra witnessed the damage sustained from the wave hitting one side of the island, engulfing the entire surface area and exiting from the opposite side. Not only were houses and hotels destroyed, but also the trees are now dying from the salt water and drinking wells are contaminated.
