ZUMA News Shooter Will Be Missed![]() Friends and family are shocked at the sudden loss, but comforted to know he died doing what he loved. The computer whiz left a high-paying job at IBM in 1995 to pursue his passion for photojournalism. Since then, he worked his way up to covering major news stories for ZUMA Press and leading dailies the New York Post and the Philadelphia Daily News, where he was a regular contributing photojournalist. ZUMA's director and founder, Scott Mc Kiernan, remembers Don as a hard-core news photographer and a go-getter that would never fail to deliver the money shot. "Don will be greatly missed by all of us who knew and worked with him," he said. Don is survived by his sons Michael (23) and David (21), and by his wife Berjoohy. A memorial for Don will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday June 2nd at Holly Trinity Church, 101 Ashmead Road, Cheltenham, PA Pennsylvania. zNewsLandslide Rocks Laguna![]() "Deep Throat" Revealed ![]() Nepal's Social Unrest Continues Disorder arose outside the United Nations office in Kathmandu, as the Maoist Victims Association demanded that the government declare them internal refugees and ensure their resettlement. More than 100 of the Maoist victims--most of them women, children, and the elderly--were arrested for blocking the main city road of the capital. The Maoist Victims protest is one of a string of public demonstrations of discontent. Last week, the Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) organized a rally against the government's crackdown on the media. Approximately 1000 journalists have been laid off since the state of emergency began in February of this year. zFeaturesKoreans Train For TerrorSouth Korea's SWAT team is on high terror alert in anticipation of the 2005 APEC summit meeting to be held in Pusan this November. Photographer Seokyong Lee was on hand as the team underwent drills that included slicing apples off each other's stomach while blindfolded, scaling up and down walls, and breaking into mock hijacked planes. A Time to Remember Veterans and their families somberly gathered to commemorate Memorial Day at military cemeteries across the nation. Veterans from the conflicts going back to World War II and as recently as the current Iraq and Afghanistan wars, came together to recognize their fallen comrades and loved ones. zSportsRookie of the Year Racecar underdog, Danica Patrick, wowed spectators as she placed fourth in the Indianapolis 500, the best finish for a woman in the 89-year-history of the race.
