Pakistan's Pleasure Boys by Thomas Kelly/TCS/ZUMA Press In a country where social laws are so strict that men are not permitted to socialize with any woman other than their wives or family members, male prostitution and abuse such as pederasty exist. Although homosexuality is generally unacknowledged in Pakistan, Peshawar has the most notorious reputation for homoeroticism, and adolescent boys preyed upon for their beauty. Boys as young as eight years old, and who are mostly Afghan refugees, are employed by buses and hotels to attract patrons--whether or not it requires selling their bodies. Discover the shocking and disturbing truths that TCS photographer, Thomas Kelly, uncovered in Pleasure Boys. Chronicles of the Keystone ArchiveOnly twice in the history of warfare have nuclear weapons been delivered. In the effort to end World War II, the U.S. military dropped the first atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima August 6th 1945, and just three days later, another dropped another on Nagasaki. Next month marks the 60th anniversary of the bombing that devastated Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing over 120,000 civilians and, over the years, twice that number died of nuclear diseases.
