ZUMA's Page One News!August 3, 2005 - TORONTO, Ontario--When the Air France plane crashed at Toronto's Pearson International Airport yesterday, the world was on edge waiting for news on whether any of the passengers or crew survived the accident. Miraculously, all 309 people passengers evacuated the burning airbus with only 43 minor injuries reported. ZUMA began syndicating compelling Toronto Star coverage from the scene soon after the frightening incident happened (see page A1 of the New York Daily News and the Los Angeles Times among others). Late on Friday afternoon (July 29) ZUMA's wires buzzed with breaking news that London Police had stormed a North Kensington flat and arrested two men in connection with the July 21 failed Tube station bombings. Within minutes ZUMA began syndicating exclusive Daily Mail coverage of police cornering Muktar Said Ibrahim and Ramzi Mohammed on a balcony as the two raised their hands in surrender. Despite the late hour at witch the news broke, the story-telling images made countless front pages across the continent, including the New York Times, Boston Globe, Palm Beach Post, and Toronto Star.
