Photography with Flair

Olivier Pojzman

Olivier PojzmanNovember 16, 2005 - DANA POINT, Calif. - ZUMA's celebrity portraiture division is proud to add award-winning photographer Olivier Pojzman to its team. With great talent, professionalism and French flair, Olivier captures character revealing moments and intimate candids of Hollywood's hottest stars in "at home" photo shoots.

Some of his recent ZUMA assignments include a spread for Celebrity Living with the ultra-hilarious comedienne Margaret Cho (see the Nov 7, 2005 issue pages 59-63). He also got behind the scenes of Rock Star: INXS, the hit reality TV series, for Star Magazine's special Star At Home feature (see Sept 5, 2005 issue pages 60-65). And in April, his relaxed candids of Hollywood legend David Carradine made a big splash in Globe Magazine (see the April 25, 2005 issue pages 58-59).

In addition to "at home" and portrait shoots, Olivier does amazing advertising and corporate photography for clients that include Apple, Porsche, Sony, Swatch, Trek mountain bikes and more.

Hidden Jews of Uganda - by RICHARD SOBOL/ZUMA Press

Spread out over many miles in Uganda, the 600 member Abayudaya community have held tightly to ancient beliefs through civil wars and periods of religious intolerance. Even during Idi Amin's reign of terror, when synagogues were closed and prayers had to be held in secret, the Abayudaya did not abandon their beliefs. Guided by their faith in the Jewish Laws of the Torah, they pray together in mud huts designated as synagogues and chant Hebrew prayers to an Afro beat. Their story is one of survival.
